Activation
The E4S Activation Pillar fosters impactful collaborations between academia, industry, and civil society to accelerate the transition toward a sustainable economy.
Activation – Our approach
E4S is committed to activating the transition to a resilient and inclusive economy within planetary boundaries. To achieve this, we focus on two types of formats: Collaborative Initiatives and Activation Tools.
Collaborative Initiatives
Our collaborative initiatives are interactive formats helping us identify key trends, collaboration opportunities, and innovative solutions to shared challenges.
The collaborative initiatives include:
- Action Labs: Hands-on workshops where practitioners and academic experts co-create innovative solutions to pressing challenges.
- Community Meetups: Engaging gatherings designed to foster connections and exchange insights within the academic community around sustainability topics.
- Showcase 2030: Our flagship event, bringing together cross-sector stakeholders for dialogue, collaboration, and solution-building on urgent sustainability challenges.
Activation Tools
Our activation tools strengthen our ecosystem by equipping academics, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers with the resources they need to drive sustainability transitions.
Our activation tools include:
- The Sustainability Portal: A digital hub connecting over 500 academic members working on sustainability research and innovation projects.
- Servetia: An initiative accelerating the adoption of clean and energy-efficient solutions in Switzerland through servitization (pay-per-use model).
- LEVO: An impact assessment tool designed to help startups and small businesses integrate sustainability into their core strategies.
