Morges / Lausanne, May 22 2024

InTent and E4S are very pleased to announce the beginning of their partnership aimed at advancing the nature agenda. Together, both actors will work on developing, testing, and measuring the impact of innovative nature-based solutions in Switzerland and abroad.

For a first research project, InTent and E4S will focus on studying the ecosystem services of wetlands, and particularly their capacity as carbon sinks, by leveraging technology provided by EPFL and the University of Lausanne.

André Hoffmann, President of InTent, expresses his high interest in such “ambitious applied research agenda, hand-in-hand with private and public actors” and is particularly keen to drive nature-based solutions by “effectively combining latest available technology with human commitment”.

Jean-Philippe Bonardi, Executive Director at E4S, highlights the value of this partnership, noting that “nature and biodiversity are still under-researched topics, for which we definitely need new solutions.” He indicates that various business, research and public institutions are also interested in this pilot project, so he is optimistic to develop “substantial outcomes” over the next months and years.
