About the Role

We are looking for an independent and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join an applied research project on the modelling of climate-related financial risk. The core aim is to develop a new portfolio evaluation and construction methodology that integrates climate scenarios and asset pricing.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of academic research and real-world investment practice, contributing to the development of an open-source, operational model for climate-aligned portfolio management. This project is a collaboration between the Enterprise for Society Center (E4S), Pictet, and Retraites Populaires.

 

Your Responsibilities

– Conduct literature review on climate risk modelling

– Explore existing data and methodologies integrating climate scenarios into asset pricing and portfolio construction

– Contribute to the integration of physical and transition climate risk into the model structure

– Present findings and coordinate with a team of academics and practitioners

 

Your Profile

You are a master’s student or recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Sustainability, or a related field, and you bring:

– A strong interest in climate science, sustainable finance and applied research

– Knowledge of climate-related financial risk,

– Solid analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in Excel and Python

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively across academic and industry settings

– Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required, French a plus)
