The UNIL Community, in collaboration with the E4S Center, is promoting an initiative to collect basic products to support Ukrainian refugees and Ukrainian civilians that are still in the country. The aim of this initiative is to make it easier for our communities to donate items.
We created collection hubs on campus where students and staff can drop-off their donations. The current hubs are:
- Room 162 at Amphipôle, from 08h00 to 21h00.
- Room 5223 at Geopolis, from 09h00 to 17h00.
The items you can bring are:
- Carton boxes
- Bandages
- Analgesics / painkillers
- Medications (here is the full list)
- Tourniquets
- All kinds of hygiene/sanitary products (here is the full list)
- Non-perishable food
This initiative will coordinate with the Geneva Branch of the Ukrainian Society in Switzerland and the Ukrainian Embassy in Switzerland to ship these items to Ukraine and bordering countries hosting refugees.
We hope this initiative will channel more donations to the Ukrainian population, who is in urgent need of help.
The initiative is currently looking for volunteers to manage the rooms and help with logistics. If you are interested, please contact Edoardo Chiarotti (edoardo.chiarotti@unil.ch) or Tatiana Fauconnet (tatiana.fauconnet@unil.ch).
